HDS Pro Decking Screws are available in stainless steel A2/A4 quality, which means you can build decks with hidden fastening in almost any type of wood and in all kinds of environments.
The stainless steel resists harsh outdoor conditions and has greater flexibility, allowing it to move with the wood. View the table by product images to determine which stainless grade to use for your project.
In addition to enabling installation in most types of wood, the screw’s drill point ensures smooth installation near board ends and knots—areas where splitting is typically more likely.
The underside of the screw head is specially designed to collect chips during installation and pull them down with the screw, significantly reducing splintering.

HDS Pro screws are compatible with the HDS Pro Tool as well as the earlier version called the HDS Installation Tool 110–155.

ESSVE HDS Pro Decking Screws are installed diagonally into the side of the deck board using the HDS installation tool and specially designed HDS bit. See instructional video under product images.
Choose the right screw for a perfect deck – every time!
- Timber thickness 19–25 mm and max width 145 mm – use HDS Pro Decking Screw 4.8x50 mm
- Timber thickness 25–30 mm and max width 145 mm – use HDS Pro Decking Screw 4.8x60 mm
- Timber thickness 30–40 mm and max width 145 mm – use HDS Pro Decking Screw 5.0x75 mm
HDS Pro decking screws are installed using the HDS Pro Tool, designed for timber widths between 110–155 mm. When you purchase the tool, it includes 2 special bits and a decking spacer tool to easily ensure correct spacing between boards.
Recommended installation speed: 400–1200 RPM.
